Archery and The Olympics June 14th - June 17th

Sack Lunch Required
In this archery summer camp students will learn introductory archery skills. Students will also learn the important historical facts surrounding archery, its involvement in the Olympics, and the History of the Olympic Games. Students will participate in Chariot Racing, Javelin throw, discus throw, long jump, Baton Relay Race. Students will be put into trail groups based on Age, named after Ancient Greek City States like Athens, Sparta, and Ithaca. Students will participate in Olympic related arts and crafts like making and painting their own Ancient Greek clay Amphora (Pottery), paint their own Greek Hoplite shields and make their own Marshmallow Parthenon. Students will play many archery games and participate in a water balloon game. This camp is themed around a Fantasy Greek Olympic Games.
